Current News/Alerts

Corona Virus (COVID-19)

Due to the current healthcare crisis, some meetings will be impacted and temporarily closed.  For any meeting status changes, please email or call us at (901) 323-0321.  We will try our best to keep this scheduled updated.  Please check the WSO Al-Anon.org site for meeting alternatives such as electronic or phone.

A message from the World Service Office.

You are not alone.  Within Areas, Districts, and Al-Anon Information Services members are talking to each other and reasoning things out in addressing platform, meeting format, and other group questions.  Ask for help!

Al-Anon’s unity and perhaps even its survival depends on adherence to our Traditions and principles.  Your group is welcome to establish a temporary online meeting to occur at the same day and time as its face-to-face meetings in accordance with the group’s conscience.

So members and newcomers can find you, please share temporary meeting information with your local Al-Anon Information Service so temporary information can be posted on local websites depending on your group conscience. We still want families and friends of alcoholics to be able to find us!  Please send temporary meeting information to mphsafg@yahoo.com.

All of us look forward to resuming our activities as they were before the current health crisis. In the meantime, the process of growing forward through this together is sure to bring added insight.

The Al-Anon Literature Distribution Center, LDC, is closed until further notice.

We are so excited to announce the Grand Opening of our new local online store!  This was a labor of love from the AIS Board to our members.

Your purchase of literature from our new online store will help support AIS.  Al Anon Information Services provide information about Al-Anon to the groups and to those who may wish to know more about us. Without AIS, there would be no local literature distribution, phone service, website, or other ways to share Al-Anon information with those who might need it.

There are a couple of things we will need to point out regarding the new online store.

1.  You may have your order shipped to you or you can choose to pick up your order at the LDC.  Unfortunately, because of Covid, we want to maintain the health and safety of both our LDC volunteers and our members.  So we have developed a system where you order your books online, and if you choose to pick them up locally at the LDC, we are asking that you make an appointment for your pickup time.  This will limit contact for all parties.  You may make an appointment in 15-minute increments to pick up your order by scheduling through this link.  (You do not have to remember this link.  The link will be on the checkout page and invoice.)  https://calendly.com/mphsafg

2.  Until further notice, the LDC will be closed for walk-ins.  The only way you can make a purchase is via the online store or mail in the order form which you can find under the Literature tab of the website.

3.  There will be no availability on Thursdays in December to pick up your orders.  We will be open both Mondays and Thursdays starting in January.

We are so excited about finally being able to bring this to the community!  We hope you are just as excited as we are.

We ask for any feedback you have regarding the online store or the website by sending an email to mphsafg@yahoo.com.

We also ask for your patience while we work out the kinks in the system.  This is a new experience for most of us.

We will also be accepting mail-in orders as usual. If you wish to expedite your order, please use email below:
