The Al-Anon Literature Distribution Center, LDC, is closed until further notice.

We are so excited to announce the Grand Opening of our new local online store!  This was a labor of love from the AIS Board to our members.

Your purchase of literature from our new online store will help support AIS.  Al Anon Information Services provide information about Al-Anon to the groups and to those who may wish to know more about us. Without AIS, there would be no local literature distribution, phone service, website, or other ways to share Al-Anon information with those who might need it.

There are a couple of things we will need to point out regarding the new online store.

1.  You may have your order shipped to you or you can choose to pick up your order at the LDC.  Unfortunately, because of Covid, we want to maintain the health and safety of both our LDC volunteers and our members.  So we have developed a system where you order your books online, and if you choose to pick them up locally at the LDC, we are asking that you make an appointment for your pickup time.  This will limit contact for all parties.  You may make an appointment in 15-minute increments to pick up your order by scheduling through this link.  (You do not have to remember this link.  The link will be on the checkout page and invoice.)

2.  Until further notice, the LDC will be closed for walk-ins.  The only way you can make a purchase is via the online store or mail in the order form which you can find under the Literature tab of the website.

3.  There will be no availability on Thursdays in December to pick up your orders.  We will be open both Mondays and Thursdays starting in January.

We are so excited about finally being able to bring this to the community!  We hope you are just as excited as we are.

We ask for any feedback you have regarding the online store or the website by sending an email to

We also ask for your patience while we work out the kinks in the system.  This is a new experience for most of us.

We will also be accepting mail-in orders as usual. If you wish to expedite your order, please use email below:

Al-Anon Family Groups has published a wealth of books and pamphlets to share our primary purpose: to help families and friends recover from the effects of someone else’s drinking. Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature complements the face-to-face meetings where Al-Anon members share their experience, strength and hope with each other, but it is only one of the tools of the Al-Anon program.

Al-Anon literature is understood best when used with other tools of the program – meetings, working the 12 Steps, participating in service opportunities. The books and pamphlets can enhance your personal recovery, but they cannot replace the hope and healing you will find at Al-Anon meetings.

The Memphis Area Literature Distribution Center (LDC) maintains a stock of Conference Approved Literature (CAL) and is a registered LDC with the World Service Office (WSO). WSO suggests that Al-Anon /Alateen groups and members in West Tennessee and Desoto County, Mississippi order literature through the Memphis Area LDC, rather than through the Al-Anon Family Group Headquarters. Purchasing literature from the Memphis Area LDC helps fund Memphis Area AIS public outreach programs. Orders are usually shipped within seventy two (72) hours of receipt. There is an 10% shipping charge (or a minimum of $7.50) added to all orders shipped from the LDC. Orders must be paid in full prior to delivery.

Literature is available for purchase during the LDC’s normal hours of operation:

Memphis, TN 38112

Hours of Operation
Every Monday – 4 pm to 6 pm
